So, I’ve been working at the Credit Union for about a week now and I am fully settled in I would say. I have my normal workstation and what not. I have my own box that has my name on it and my own teller stamp. It’s super exciting! I am really enjoying all the awesome people that I work with. I felt at home on the first day I worked there.

Anyhow, I was shown a copy of the company newsletter today because I haven’t been able to get Outlook working on my machine to check the email. Anyhow, I was recognized for excellence in Member Service. One of the managers came over this morning and told me how much she enjoyed listening to the way I speak to the members. Another co-worker of mine told me how I bring in joy to the office.

I’m really glad to see that I’ve found home and settled in so quick. I’m ready to stick around and try and get into Member Services and maybe even become a VP or the President one day. That would be awesome!

The management team would like to recognize one of our newest part-time tellers Ryan Ottele. Ryan was recognized for his outstanding display of member service. He has done such an incredible job at greeting and assisting members and is extremely polite. One manager stated how “enjoyable it was to listen to how Ryan talks to the members�. Keep up the great job Ryan!

I quit Wal-Mart effective Thursday. You don’t know how great it felt to clock out for the last time at Wal-Mart. I start working a normal schedule with the credit union on Monday. Hurray!

I have a T-Mobile Sidekick 3 and have been paying the $5.99/month equipment protection fee since I got it last year. The other day I broke the screen on my phone and I called Asurion, the insurance company, and requested they send me a replacement under my insurance.

All went under way and I paid the fee without problem. Then the phone arrived the next day and I opened the box and saw this orange Asurion box. My first thought is that the one they’ve sent is refurbished which is the case. However, it rattled when it vibrated and the back cover did not fit right.

So I called back and they shipped me another and I got it today and was pleased to open the box and find out that it was a normal sidekick box. They owned up and sent me a brand new sidekick. I didn’t have to take some refurbished piece of junk. That is such a relief that it’s all taken care of now.

And they even sent a new battery in the deal so I really won. I have a brand new factory battery so I am starting from scratch. The refurb one they had sent me came with one but it was a far lower capacity battery. They tried to shaft me at first but I ended up winning.

Hurray for beating the Insurance company!

Congratulations to myself. I’ve been trying so hard to get out from Wal-Mart and that time is here. I have finally escaped and am into a financial institution where I belong. It’s so surreal that I have finally made it. Now the only way out is up!
